Devotion Day 8

The Word and Words of Encouragement for You Today & Tomorrow

Despite what the media has done to discourage us there is still that ray of light that bursts through the dark clouds. Many times, I have sat buckled in my seat on a large plane running down the runway under heavy, thick, dark clouds wondering how we were going to get above them. Often the take-off would be rough. Are you aware that the plane always takes off into the wind?! As the pilot continues to climb eventually, we break through the darkness and are met by the splendor of sunlight. Once again, the law of aero dynamics has defeated the law of gravity.

There is a promise in Psalm 3:3 “But you, oh LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.” When you look at verses 1 & 2 of that same chapter you can hear the voice of our culture. We come to the conclusion that the sound of society can pull us down and our only answer is God!

Listen as you read out loud what God is speaking to you:

“…if God is for us, who is against us.” Romans 8:31

“I have come to give you life and life more abundantly.” John 10:10

You are more than your heartbreaks.

You are more than your setbacks.

You are more than your failures.

You are more than the pain of your past.

You are more than your mistakes.

“Let your hopes not your hurts shape your future.” – Robert H. Schuller

Be encouraged and declare the blessings of God in your life!

“The Lord gave them rest on every side.” 2 Chronicles 15:15
