Meet Our Lead Pastors

Pastors Jimmy and Katie, along with their four children, have faithfully served at The Crossing for more than 10 years. Throughout their journey, they have led in a variety of roles—including youth ministry, worship, young adults, associate pastors, and now as Lead Pastors.

Above all, they are committed to being led by the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to guide every decision, every ministry, and every step as they seek to faithfully follow Jesus

Their greatest passion is to see people of every generation encounter the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. They believe every person was created with a God-given purpose and identity, and they are committed to helping people discover who they are in Christ, walk in the freedom He provides, and grow into everything God has called them to be.

Jimmy and Katie are passionate about building a church where people are equipped, empowered, and sent out to impact their families, workplaces, schools, and communities with the hope of the Gospel. Their desire is to see believers become confident disciples of Jesus who stand firm in truth, advance God's Kingdom, and lead others into a life-changing relationship with Christ.

Their prayer is that every person who calls The Crossing home would not only know Jesus but also live boldly in their identity as sons and daughters of God, carrying His love wherever they go.

PASTORS DEANDRE & HERSHEY THOMPSON

Associate Pastors

Pastors DeAndre and Hershey, along with their family, have faithfully served at The Crossing for the past five years. From the very beginning, they have joyfully stepped into every opportunity to serve wherever needed, demonstrating hearts of humility, faithfulness, and a deep love for God's people.

In January 2025, they were appointed as Associate Pastors, and we are honored to have them helping lead and shepherd our church family.

Above all, Dre and Hershey are committed to being led by the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to direct their lives and ministry as they faithfully point people to Jesus.

Their passion is to see people encounter the transforming power of Jesus Christ, discover their true identity in Him, and walk confidently in the purpose God has for their lives. They have a genuine love for serving both the church and the surrounding community, believing that lives are changed when people experience the hope, freedom, and love of Christ.

Together with the leadership of The Crossing, they are dedicated to equipping believers, strengthening families, and helping people of every generation become passionate followers of Jesus who make a lasting impact for the Kingdom of God.

PASTOR LEXI QUIROZ

Young Adult Pastor

In September 2025, we were honored to welcome Pastor Lexi Quiroz into the role of Young Adult Pastor at The Crossing. For more than two and a half years, Lexi has faithfully served and invested in the lives of young adults, bringing vision, authenticity, and a deep passion for seeing her generation transformed by Jesus.

Above all, Lexi is committed to being led by the Holy Spirit, creating a place where young adults can encounter God's presence, grow in their faith, and be equipped to live boldly for Christ.

Her heart is to see every young adult discover their true identity in Christ, experience freedom through His love, and step confidently into the purpose God has designed for their lives. She is passionate about raising up a generation that is rooted in God's Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and unashamed of the Gospel.

Together with the leadership of The Crossing, Lexi is committed to discipling the next generation of leaders who will impact their families, campuses, workplaces, and communities for the Kingdom of God. Her prayer is to see young adults become lifelong followers of Jesus who know Him deeply, love Him wholeheartedly, and make Him known wherever they go.

This version matches the language used throughout the other bios—emphasizing Holy Spirit-led ministry, identity in Christ, discipleship, purpose, and Kingdom impact—while giving Lexi's ministry a distinct focus on reaching and equipping the next generation.

In Loving Memory of Pastor Sam Abbott

Pastor Sam Abbott, alongside his beloved wife, Judy, faithfully served The Crossing and the surrounding community for more than 25 years. Together, they poured out their lives in service to the Lord, shepherding countless individuals and families with unwavering love, wisdom, compassion, and faith.

Pastor Sam's passion was to see people come to know Jesus Christ, discover the hope found in Him, and grow into the men and women God created them to be. Through his faithful leadership, servant's heart, and commitment to the Word of God, countless lives were transformed, and many came to faith in Christ.

His legacy continues to live on in the lives he touched, the leaders he invested in, and the Kingdom he faithfully served. We are forever grateful for Pastor Sam and Judy's dedication, sacrifice, and enduring impact on The Crossing.
