The Crossing Ausome Ministry

At The Crossing, we believe the body of Christ includes people of every ability. Our Special Needs Ministry exists so that all individuals can know they belong, are valued, and have a place to serve and grow.

We partner with families to provide individualized support during:

  • Sunday services

  • Children’s and student ministries

  • Special events

If you have questions about how we can best support your child or family member, we would be honored to connect with you. Please see Brittany Evans for more information!

March is disability awareness month! See how our children and families are interacting with our Ausome Ministry and how you can donate to the ministry! If you would like to volunteer to be on our team, please see Brittany Evans.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

March is Disability Awareness Month, and we are excited to spend this time growing together as a church family in

understanding, inclusion, and compassion for individuals of all abilities.

Throughout the month of March, The Crossing’s Ausome Ministry will be offering special Disability Awareness

activities every Wednesday evening and Sunday morning.

These activities are designed to help children and families learn about differences in a positive and meaningful way

while encouraging empathy, kindness, and friendship.

Each week, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiences, interactive lessons, and

sensory-friendly activities that highlight how God uniquely created every individual with purpose and value.

Sunday, March 1st – National Wheelchair Day: Wheelchair obstacle course to experience mobility challenges.

Wednesday, March 4th – Deaf Awareness Day: Play a game w/ headphones.

Sunday, March 7th – Spina Bifida Awareness Day: Wear yellow; make daisy bouquets to send to a child.
